Top-class criminal

On March 14, former south Korean president Lee Myung-bak accepted the investigation of the Public Prosecutors Office for hours.

He becomes the target of scoff and criticism by irregularities and corruption during his office and after retirement from his office.

He strained every nerve to elect Park Geun-hye in the presidential race in 2012 by any means by mobilizing the National Intelligence Service, the army, police and even the conservative groups in order to ensure security after his resignation from the presidency.

However, Park Geun-hye was ousted from office before expiry through the candlelight resistance of the south Koreans in last year and the progressive force took power. Lee, who is designated as the first target of eradication of evils, is reduced into a criminal. 

He kept 80 percent stocks of a firm under the assumed name to swindle stupendous amount of money. 

Undeniable evidence emerged as he lined his pocket through ignoble and illegal means by abusing power of an owner of the firm. The south Korean people of various circles strongly demand his arrest and to make an investigation of him. 

Some days ago, an evidence supporting the fact that the firm raised secret funds worth thirty billion won (30 million US$) by method of increasing the money allocated for subcontract business from 2002 has been revealed. 

He is suspected of receiving a bribe worth ten billion won (10 million US$) and of appropriating four hundred and fifty million won (450 thousand US$) for funds of special activity of the National Intelligence Service.

Of late, he took a bribe worth two hundred million won (200 thousand US$) from a president of business company.

The above-said facts are enough to take Lee into custody as like Park Geun-hye.

Now the south Korean people pour ridicule on the Liberty Korea Party as a notorious group as it has nominated top-class criminals such as Park Chung-hee, Chun Doo-hwan, Roh Tae-woo, Lee Myung-bak and Park Geun-hye. 

On March 13, ruling party and opposition parties contended Lee’s apology to the people, while demanding the Public Prosecutors Office’s strict investigation into Lee.

A prison is destination for Lee and Park.
